I believe in the true transformative power of coaching. We make choices to work on our physical selves all the time, but what about our inner being, our mental, emotional and spiritual self?
What about being empowered to actually change the things that drain our mental and emotional energy, the things that keep us in toxic relationships. These can be toxic people (friends, relatives, partners) we insist on holding on to, or unhealthy habits we just cant seem to cut out even if on some level we know they are hurting us or holding us back.
I believe in the importance of cultivating healthy relationships, starting with cultivating a healthier relationship with yourself. This is the relationship that sets the tone for every other relationship you will ever have.
It’s about being able to silence that voice within that tries to convince you that you are not enough, and that you have to hide parts of yourself to be loved and accepted.
Most people believe coaching is similar to therapy. In fact, the two are very different.
Holistic coaches like myself, view their clients as already whole, equipped with everything they need to reach their goals and to create the fulfilling life they desire. On the other hand, therapists help their clients heal from deep trauma or negative experiences.
Coaching is about starting from where you are and receiving support as you do the self exploration necessary to create outer transformation.
We identify current behavior and thought patterns, and ask questions to help you change those patterns and move forward. The goal is to support you in making specific changes. It’s empowerment via responsibility.
Coaching takes place over the short-term, a client typically signs on for a certain time frame like three-to six months during which I support you in making specific changes so that you can reach your desired goal, and be ready to launch on your own sooner than later.
The therapist-client relationship is often a longer-term one and can be indefinite.
Coaching is a powerful method to support you in making the changes you want to make in your life.
Its about having the courage to access and act from the power that is always within you, and redefining your values in a way that works for your own life, not the life that others want for you.
It’s inspiring and liberating! You get to be the creator in your life. You get to start making significant, deep, lasting changes. You rise to a higher level of confidence, and you start to embody it in the physical.
Its about being courageous enough to listen to your heart, to ask for what you want, to speak up and speak out, to leave, to stay, to say No, to say Yes to the life you really want. To do the thing you believe you cannot do authentically and courageously.
You are no longer the victim in your story. You claim your joy! This level of self-respect and self-acceptance is liberating because, now anything is possible for you!
